Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, popularly referred to in the media as Ashanti was born on October 13, the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She's a performer and an actress who hails from the United States. The talent of Ashanti was discovered when she was a teenager. She was signed to Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. Ashanti was featured as Fat Joe's What's Luv? Ja Rule's song, Always On Time and Fat Joe's What's luv? The first ever female to reach the top two positions within the United States, with Foolish at number one, and What's Luv? The track What's Luv! Here, we will celebrate with you her special birthday. Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, popularly referred to as Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York on the 13th of October, 1980. Tina Douglas is the mother of Ashanti, and Ken Kaide Douglas is her father. Kenashia Schia is Douglas's younger sister is older. Douglas chose the name Ashanti to honor Ghana's Ashanti Empire in which women were in charge and held influence. Douglas wanted Ashanti to follow this paradigm. James the Ashanti's great-grandfather has been a prominent civil rights advocate along with Martin Luther King Jr. during the 1960s. Her mother was aware of her daughter's talent as she listened to her sing Mary J. Blige's Reminisce. Ashanti was an actor in the child stage in Spike Lee's Malcolm X and Ted Demme's Who's the Man? A few of her cameos were in music video clips like K.R.S. Act One's MC's"Like They're Not Known" and 8 Off's Ghetto Woman. Ja Rule's always on time and Fat Jojo's What's Luv? also featured her. Her debut single Foolish includes a snippet of the 1983 hit song from DeBarge, with Me. The debut album of Ashanti was made available through Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. on the label in 2002. The Declaration was her fourth studio-album, came out in June 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released both on the radio and on digital formats) was released on October 16 on the 16th of October, 2008. She was in the film Christmas in the City and was Latasha Montclair in Army Wives. Aitch used the Rock wit U sample in Baby on the 10th day of March in 2022.
